I recently went on a cruise with my entire family courtesy of my wonderful parents.
It was fabulous.
The two toddlers were left at home which made it even more fun.
I have some amazing siblings, some great parents, and some awesome nephews and nieces.
Combining all of this with no Jackson for four days, on a ship, in the middle of the ocean, and I was one happy lady.
I was so happy that I would randomly start dancing throughout the cruise.
(I am not a dancer.)
(I used to stand off to the side at school dances while all of my friends danced to fast songs.)
(In my heart, I feel like I could dance as well as a black girl, but in my head, I knew that it would come out looking like a white girl.)
(I picture all of the moves that I should be doing, but they don't look the same in my head as they do on my body.)
(This was me dancing with two light up fans in my hand. I got a little techno on everyone.)
(Notice my Dad in the background. Is he covering his face in shame, in disgust, or just trying to hide his laughter. Either way, I don't think he was hiding a thumbs up sign.)
So yes. I would start dancing, and eventually I got my entire family to dance.
This is huge.
I got my dance moves from my family.
We are white.
It wasn't pretty.
(Actually there are a few talented ones in my family, but most of them married in...)
(Although in the above pictures that I just posted, everyone except for Ryann is sitting. But really. It happened. I caught my dad on camera. My brother said it was like catching a "white snow leopard in action." (they are almost extinct))
Do you notice anything interesting about the pictures above?
Everyone with their mouth open in these pictures is either me or my brothers.
The ones who married in to the family are all smiling normally.
I'm not sure what happened to us when we were little to make us think that this is appropriate to do in almost every picture we take...
Anyways, we had a blast, and I was prepared for anything that might come my way.
Reader: First off, can I pay to watch you dance? Wait. That sounded weird. It's just that I think you must be horrible, and I think it would be funny.
Sure Reader. Sure...
Reader: Oh Sarah. You know what I meant! Anyways, I wanted to also ask you, how did you prepare for anything that might come your way?!?!
To prepare for this trip, I ordered the Bon Voyage Kit from Young Living.
It exceeded my expectations for sure.
If you are going on a trip, you need this.
If you just want to try out some Young Living products in smaller sizes, you need this.
The Bon Voyage Kit comes with:
- Lavender Shampoo
- Lavender Conditioner
- Face Cream
- Genesis Body Lotion
- Thieves Dental Floss
- Thieves Aroma Bright Toothpaste
- Thieves Mouth Wash
- Morning Start Body Wash
- Thieves Waterless Hand Purifier
- And Cinnamint Lip Balm
- Oh, and a toothbrush.
All in all, I loved all of the products and am still using many of them after the trip.
The only thing that I think would have been a nice add in, would be some face wash.
You can buy this at Young Living or you could make your own!
Try this face wash out!
- 8 oz of Dr. Bronners Castile Soap
- 8 oz of distilled water (or just purified water)
- 1 Tablespoon of Almond oil
- 20 drops of Lavender
- 10 drops of Lemon
Mix it all up!
Once it is all mixed, put it in a travel size container.
Here is everything you need! You could make a butt load of face wash with this.
